Brett D. Fadeley, J.D. – CEO, COO, CFO, Executive Sales Manager and Board Chair

Bio:

Brett brings a diverse and varied background essential to the emergence, growth or restructuring of most any enterprise. He uniquely understands the nuances and financial challenges of growth and turnaround companies and is adept at navigating those companies to the next level.

Brett owns and serves as the CEO & Chairman of Breca Capital LLC, a business consulting and boutique private equity company. He is also an owner and the CEO & Chairman of Handex Consulting and Remediation, LLC (HCR). HCR is an environmental ground water remediation company, with over 100 professionals dedicated to helping businesses meet changing environmental issues and operational needs. He served as the CEO and Chairman of eSchool Solutions Inc. (eSS) until 2014, when he sold the business to a large private equity group in Chicago. In addition to HCR, Brett actively serves as a member on several Advisory and Board of Directors including, Demco Venco, (an owner), Demetree Global, Mico Cooling, and Palmer Electric (an owner).

In 1995, Brett founded the first turnaround management organization in Orlando. He is a recognized expert in turnaround management, financial management and complex commercial negotiations. His professional experience includes serving as a Chairman, CEO, President, member of the Board of Directors and/or interim Sales Manager and Chief Financial Officer. Brett has a diverse and varied background in assisting manufacturers, wholesalers, distributors and service companies in diverse industries. He has successful and proven leadership experience in providing turnaround management and profit improvement services at multiple business enterprises.

For the past 25 years, Brett has focused his expertise on emerging and growth companies and companies in distress, by providing solutions—financial, strategic, sales, operational and organizational—that have enabled his clients to develop or regain long-term growth or achieve an appropriate exit strategy. Brett also has more than fifteen years of experience in commercial banking, primarily with large “super-regional” banks. He began his banking career in 1980 with Lloyds Bank in Los Angeles, California as a senior credit analyst and corporate banking officer. He moved to Orlando, Florida in 1983. By 1987, Brett had been promoted to Senior Vice President and Manager of Corporate Banking for Florida National Bank. He served in similar capacities until 1991, when he became a Regional Manager of Special Assets (problem loan department) for Barnett Bank. He left banking in 1995 to start a successful turnaround management practice.

A graduate of Southwestern University School of Law, Brett earned his Juris Doctorate in 1980. He is a recipient of the distinguished American Jurisprudence Award. He earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree with honors from Hartwick College in 1977. In 1985, he completed advanced commercial lending at the University of Virginia’s Darden Graduate School of Banking. He is published in Who’s Who in Finance and Industry. He is also published in the Orlando Business Journal for an article entitled, Firms with Problem Loans Should Adapt to Bank Rules. Brett has taught Business Law as an adjunct faculty member for Nova University. He is a former Chapter Chairman of the March of Dimes.

Jennings Rou, CFA®, CFP® - President

Bio:

Jennings Rou has nearly 25 years of banking experience and over 30 years experience as an officer in family businesses. He holds a BA from the University of Florida, an MBA from the University of Central Florida, is a Chartered Financial Analyst®, and a Certified Financial Planner®.

Born in Orlando and raised in Lake County, Jennings attended the University of Florida where he received his BA in 1985. Shortly thereafter, Jennings began his banking career with Barnett Bank, working his way from Accounts Adjuster into Barnett’s Management Associate Program. Jennings was promoted from Junior Analyst to Senior Analyst, and eventually as a Commercial Loan Officer handling both commercial and commercial real estate relationships. While at Barnett, Jennings was an instrumental member in a team which won three consecutive President’s Cups.

Jennings earned an MBA from the University of Central Florida in 1991, and continued to work for Barnett Banks, Inc. (BBI) as a Loan Review Officer headquartered in Orlando. At Barnett, Jennings worked closely with Brett Fadeley who headed BBI’s Special Assets department, and he was selected for BBI’s acquisition due diligence team. After developing a good relationship with the Central Florida affiliate bank (Barnett Bank of Central Florida, N.A. (BBCF)), BBCF hired Jennings from the holding company in 1993 for a position in Credit Administration.

At BBCF, Jennings helped manage a 15 person credit department, with responsibility for new and existing relationships, as well as special industry analyses. He was also responsible for performance management and development planning for Credit Analysts and Management Associates. Jennings was selected to teach at Barnett’s Core Credit School in Jacksonville, and has completed numerous advanced commercial training classes with extensive experience in forecasting, cash budgeting, and strategic planning. After 4 years in Credit Administration, Jennings transitioned back into lending, and for 14 years he had a consistent track record of exceeding sales goals, performing in the top 10% of his peers, and being a trusted advisor to his customers. Jennings also has experience in Trust & Investment Management, creating customized comprehensive wealth management solutions for individuals. He most recently worked for Regions Bank, where he was a recipient of multiple Chairman’s Cup Awards.

Jennings is a native Floridian, and he has been involved in family businesses since he was 18 years old. He is a member of Chartered Financial Analysts Institute, the Certified Financial Planners Board of Standards, and The CFA Society of Orlando. Jennings knows that businesses are the backbone of the community, and he understands and has experience with the challenges small businesses face. He is committed to providing his customers the highest level of service possible, and is excited about helping businesses realize their full potential. He lives in Orlando, with his wife and son, and his hobbies include golf and saltwater fishing.

David Neumann - Breca Capital Northeast President

Comfortable in any business setting, Breca Capital Northeast President David Neumann has been helping turn failing businesses into thriving businesses for nearly 2 decades. For David, it matters not whether the company sells diamonds or software, real estate or legal services, whether it is a wholesaler or retailer, an industrial manufacturer, technology distributor, or whatever. He approaches all his work with the same solid fundamentals, rigorous evaluation, and unstoppable drive to create sure-fire success.

When he coaches a salesperson who is selling $600k one year, it’s for certain they’ll be selling closer to $800k a year later. He has a knack for finding the strengths that have lain hidden within a salesperson—or within a company—and harnessing those strengths to create success where there was only failure before.

David started in the diamond industry, working as a diamond importer-wholesaler. The high-pressure, often- cut-throat business offered him a great learning ground. With his calm and analytical demeanor, he saw the importance of exploiting the market, finding the niche, identifying the particular needs of clients and then matching them with the kinds of goods that result in the greatest profit.

When he was invited in 1998 to help turn around a struggling software technology company, he knew very little about software or technology, but he was confident. For he knew that the fundamentals for success, for turning around and growing would work the same with any company. The company had gone through deep crisis, without leadership or talent. He entered it and took it from crisis, first stabilizing it, then turning it around to create new products, enhance client relationships, and find sources of new business.

From the success he had with the software company, he entered the real estate construction field. Focusing on high-margin sales—gaining high-quality clients rather than seeking the largest quantity of sales—the company thrived even in the face of the housing crisis that left so many other companies devastated.

At this point, he began consulting for sales organizations in which the sales teams were lacking aggressiveness. He retrained them, educating them in how to draw far more profit, to find the niche, to match the clients to the products they needed—and again, invariably, to gain the highest profit margins.

His consulting business has thrived using the same formula that he teaches. He identifies the needs of companies, and then he supplies the answers, customized to their needs. David next joined an industrial service company, improving their operations, turning them from a losing business to a strong one, creating a sales plan and a system together with training, and then executing it.

The common denominator in all of David’s success is in finding ways in which the business can exploit its own situation in the marketplace to generate maximum profit, while also creating an environment in which the sales people enjoy what they are doing, removing much of the stress and angst, and bringing in not only more profit but also more enjoyment.

David Neumann is 49 years old. Born in Austria, he moved to the U.S. in 1986. He is married with 7 children—1 daughter and 6 sons. He is a volunteer with the local Emergency Medical Service, and loves swimming, biking and skiing.

Larry Schuler - Part-time Chief Financial and Operating Officer

Bio:

Larry earned a Senior Audit Manager position during his 10 years with PWC in Pittsburgh and Charlotte. He worked with an unusually diverse client base including manufacturing, construction, banking, higher education, et al.

During the next 9 years at Freedom Savings in Tampa, Mr. Schuler was General Auditor, SVP of Branch Operations and Training, CFO of a real estate service company, and CFO of the holding company.

In Orlando, Mr. Schuler was CFO of a high-end multifamily project and a $32 million dollar, 1200 acre golf course community. where he also managed the golf course and food and beverage operations. He also provided consulting and CFO services for start-up and growing entities for several years.

Larry was VP and CFO of a privately owned investment company as well as the manager of their family office for fourteen years He was a member of the Florida Family Office Forum for eight years, a board member for two years, and president of the Forum for a year. Larry also served on the Board of Directors of a technology entity for twelve years.

Larry has substantial experience in the areas of project management, strategic planning, due diligence, part-time or interim CFO, job and standard costing, estate planning, ECM, and financial procedures and controls including fraud investigations. From a different prospective, he relishes his participation in mentoring and team building, as well as Board of Director, Human Resource and general management responsibilities.

Mr. Schuler graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BBA in accounting from Marshall University in Huntington, WV. He was active in his Fraternity and various honorary societies. He was elected to “Who, Who in American Colleges and Universities”. Larry also served in the US Army Reserves.

Francis Veyette – President, COO, Breca Capital SE

Bio:

Mr. Veyette is the most recent Breca Capital team member. He joined the company to lead the expansion of Breca Capital’s new not-for-profit division. Francis has developed over 20 years of significant and varied experience in the arts and not-for profit disciplines. He is a former professional ballet dancer and rose through the ranks to become a distinguished Principal Dancer. As a natural leader, he served as a union representative and negotiator for collective bargaining agreements on 6 different occasions. He also served as a ballet master and choreographer's assistant for Pennsylvania Ballet and their resident prestigious choreographer Matthew Neenan.

These experiences culminated in Mr. Veyette earning the distinction of Director of Pennsylvania Ballet II. In that capacity, Mr. Veyette assumed the leadership responsibility of managing all major aspects of this not-for-profit enterprise. He is an intuitive, adaptive and creative entrepreneurial leader. His primary duties included:

- fundraising,
- donor relations and prospecting,
- demographic target marketing,
- human resource recruiting and retention,
- volunteer management,
- outreach and education,
- community engagement,
- process and operations management,
- complex scheduling and
- financial resource management and budgeting.

Specific achievements included a successful outreach and education performance program in schools across Pennsylvania as well as paid public performances and pop-up performances designed to engage and excite the community of Philadelphia about the arts.

In 2015 Mr. Veyette spearheaded the production of a completely original children's ballet version of The Jungle Book. By utilizing his innate entrepreneurial, communication and facilitation leadership skills, he tactfully coordinated a number of major Philadelphia institutions into a collaborative process resulting in a production that was a resounding success.

Not-for-profit organizations have unique requirements in order to be successful. Often balancing fund raising challenges, recurring revenue events, volunteer engagement, corporate governance and the lack of sophisticated financial and business processes cause many not-for-profit entities to struggle and under perform. Mr. Veyette has the experience and empathy and Breca Capital has the business acumen to assist these organizations to turn around and achieve sustainable long term growth.

Scott Fadeley - Process Improvement and Integration Specialist

Scott Fadeley brings over 30 years of combined experience with a diversified background in Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering, Project Management, Engineering Management and Systems Management. He understands the applications and procedures with manufacturing processes and production methods to produce quality products while optimizing results. This experience brings a working knowledge of how to structure processes within companies and streamline procedures that benefit workflow and minimize costs. Working with a core team, maintaining focus, staying within budget and delivering a product that exceeds expected timelines, reflects his true identity. He is driven to meet deadlines and client objectives and takes it personally. He truly enjoys a challenging task that can be accomplished by all team players and spreading the euphoria of the achievement when deliverables exceed the customer’s expectations.

Scott has worked for TroyBilt Power Equipment in Troy, NY as a Manufacturing Engineer and Plug Power in NY (a major Fuel Cell Manufacturer) as a Senior Manufacturing and Systems Manager. In addition, he has worked for the DoD in Engineering for the Combat Vehicle Integration Team on the M1A1 and M1A2 main battle tanks.

Scott recently moved to Leesburg, FL after residing in Upstate NY for the majority of his life.

He holds a Bachelor degree in Industrial Engineering from SUNY Polytechnic Institute in Utica, NY.
